I hope, in Minor White’s phrase, that ‘the camera was faithfully used’, and represents these phenomena - as accurately as the medium of photography allows - as they were seen at the time.

The energy of the universe shapes everything we know and perceive. These observations arose from, and were developed by, an awareness of this. And by the knowledge that these phenomena are timeless, have existed as process since the beginning: ab origine.

Water has, of course, no inherent colour; yet the processes of nature, the still mysterious mechanisms of light, allow us to see it as being of any perceptible hue. Somehow, this fact is significant to me and has informed my looking, and my thinking.

The universe forms everything, animate and inanimate, within its flow.

As Confucius says, in his commentary on Ch’un / The Creative, in that ancient Chinese classic, the I Ching: 

‘The clouds pass and the rain does its work, and all individual beings flow into their forms.’
